Eazy Plug Square Cube Block | Growing Media

Designed to accept an Eazy Plug square cube - making development from cutting or seed to healthy plant a breeze.

Eazy Block is bonded firmly so plastic wrapping is not required. This allows roots to stop growing when they meet the air outside of the block. As a result new root branches are formed inside the block, seriously increasing the number of absorbing rootlets in the block and creating a much more dense rooting system.

Eazy Block has an unlimited shelf life. It is supplied dried, so it is very lightweight and clean. Accordingly, there is no risk of moulds and shelf life is unlimited. The dry Eazy Block is designed to absorb water very easily and it does it astonishing quickly, whilst preserving all of its original characteristics.

• Cultivation details 
  • To make use of the air pruning effect, usage of the Block without a sleeve is strongly advised. In such cases, photosynthetic algae like green algae can occur. This does not affect plant life and is only an optical issue. Green algae can be easily treated with fungicides and/or a light copper solution. 

• Eazy Block: stronger and faster rooting than anything else on the market:

From its predetermined and buffered pH and EC values to its self regulating air-to-water ratio. It is extremely versatile and will perform in any application and in all available cultivating systems. And the wonderful thing is, it is very easy to use.
• Due to air pruning, the root structure will be very dense:
  • Eazy Block is very well bonded, so it needs no plastic wrapping. Without the plastic covering the roots stop growing when reaching the outside of the block. At this point air pruning takes place. This means that the primary roots stop growing beyond the Eazy Block because they get exposed to the relatively dry air and dieback. That will stimulate an abundant growth of secondary roots and root hair, that will spread throughout the entire Eazy Block. The effect will generate a very well developed root system with a maximized absorption capability for the best possible intake of nutrients and fluids. There is no doubt that in this fully natural environment your plant will have the strongest and healthiest start possible.

• Step 1: Moisten Eazy Blocklock
  • Prepare water with a pH of 5.8. On personal preference you can add a root stimulator to the water. Allow the Eazy Block to fully suck up the prepared water. Let it drain out excess water. Do not squeeze out or dry the blocks. Eazy Blocks are self-regulating and will only hold the water they need for an optimum moisture level and an optimum air-to-water ratio. The block will feel much heavier than Rock-Wool, but that’s normal.

• Step 2: Put plug in block
  • Put the Eazy Plug with cutting or seedling in the hole on the upper side of the Eazy Block. It will fit nicely and you will not encounter a transplant shock.
• Step 3: Remoistening
  • Only remoisten the Eazy Blocks when they start to show lighter braun spots.
• Step 4: Fertilizing
  • After 5 days start remoistening the blocks with a light fertilizing mix with an EC of 1.2-1.4 and an pH of 5.8.
• Step 5: Transplant onto Pyramid
  • In 8-10 days your young plant should have grown its roots throughout the Eazy Block. By then roots have already started to elongate from the block. It is time to transplant them.
